1984 to 1986 - Assistant Chief Engineer for a post production facility in Johannesburg (Chroma Television)

1979 - 1983 - Studied Electrical Engineering at Wits Technicon (Higher Diploma Electrical Engineering - light current), worked for the South African Broadcasting Corporation - Engineer - Videotapes

1977 - 1978 - South African Air force - National Service - Telecommunications. Began studying Electrical Engineering by correspondence

About

After studying Electrical Engineering in South Africa, Colin spent his time working for both the SABC (South African Broadcasting Corporation) and a private facility (Chroma Television).

Colin emigrated to Australia in 1987 and worked for various facilities, before starting The OB Group in 1992. The company is now in its 17th year of operation.

With a total of 32 years in broadcasting Colin brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the broadcast industry.

Interests

Colin has a passion for flying light aircraft. With the holder of an unrestricted pilots licence since 1984, Colin spends his spare time in the air. He is also the owner of a Beechcraft Sierra aircraft VH-ISM.

His other interest is golf. In between his busy work schedule, Colin still manages to get in the odd game.
